ThinApps
ThinApps is a collection of lightweight Android apps I develop to make everyday tasks easier. The projects range from a flashlight and QR code scanner to tools for finding media files and comparing cities around the world. Rather than packing each app with extra features, I try to make the core task easy to complete, with a clean interface, straightforward controls, and minimal setup.
Privacy and maintenance are important parts of that approach. I keep permissions limited to what each feature needs and favor on-device processing when an app can work without the internet. Some tools, such as Freebase's city information, use online data where it makes sense. I publish source code on GitHub for transparency and contributions, while the ThinApps website provides app descriptions, Android guides, and links to releases.
